Diego Maradona’s eldest daughter says the jersey that ex-England international, Steve Hodge, has put up for auction is not the one her dad wore when he scored his infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal.
She made the claims during her Argentine radio show, noting that her dad had changed shirts at half-time because of the high temperatures at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
She, however, did not reveal who was in possession of the jersey, refuting claims that her mother was its custodian.

"The ex-England player thinks he’s got my dad’s second-half shirt but there is a confusion. He has the first-half jersey. I wanted to explain that to people so that whoever wants to buy it knows the truth.
“My mum does not have it. I know who has it but I am not going to expose that person.
“All I can say is that the one that is being auctioned is not the one my dad scored his goals with,” she stated.
However, according to Steve Hodge, he was the custodian of the jersey after he swapped shirts with Maradona after the match in Mexico.
Hodge announced that he was selling the jersey at Ksh602 million (£4 million). If sold, it will be the most valuable football jersey in history.
Hodge has had the shirt for 35 years since the 1986 quarter-final between Argentina and England in Mexico City.
The jersey will be sold at an online auction opening on April 20.
