Liverpool's new signing Luis Diaz has caught the eyes of many with his sense of goal since his move to England.
Dias struggled to start his football career as he went unnoticed by clubs until the age of 18, which is uncommon, with a number of stars having been spotted when they were below 12 years.
The Liverpool forward is a native of La Guajira, one of Colombia's most underdeveloped regions, and a member of the Wayuu, an indigenous community afflicted by poverty and malnutrition.

Dias was spotted among 3,000 young hopefuls and was enrolled in Junior's youth set-up of Atletico Junior.
He excelled at the tournament, scoring two goals and producing a string of eye-catching performances for the side.
The tournament provided a glimpse of the striker's talent on a national stage and alerted other Colombian clubs of his potential but physically he remained underweight.
However, he was signed by second division side Barranquilla FC. During his time at Barranquilla Diaz was so thin getting the nickname the noodle.
At Barranquilla the Colombian forward was put on a dietary plan to rapidly gain 10Kg, the diet to an extent even included him having pasta for breakfast.
By 2017 Diaz had quickly progressed through the club’s youth teams and moved back to Atlético Junior.
His impressive form and a commitment to football led to European clubs fighting to get his signature by 2019.
After receiving advice from the then Colombian national team manager, Carlos Queiroz, Diaz joined Portuguese side FC Porto, where he honed his skills into a world-class talent.
By joining Liverpool Diaz became the first Colombian to play for the Reds in the Premier League.
Since his transfer to Anfield, he has featured in 12 appearances and has scored three goals across all competitions.
