
Tanzania Premier League Board has announced that there will be a minute of silence in honour of Kenya's third President the late Mwai Kibaki during the Dar Derby.
The Dar clash is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 30, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The announcement was made by the Tanzania Premier League Board's media and communication officer Karim Boimanda during a pre-match conference on Friday, April 29.

“Before the match, we will observe a minute of silence to mourn the death of Kenya's former President of Mwai Kibaki," Boimanda noted.
The late President Kibaki is set to be buried at his Othaya home in Central Kenya, on Saturday, April 30, hours before the derby in Tanzania.
Tanzanian side Simba, who are second in the league with 41 points is home to Kenyan International defender Joash Onyango.
Young Africans, commonly known as 'Yanga' who are the league leaders with a total of 54 points are seeking to extend the gap between them and their arch-rivals.
The match between Simba and Yanga is referred to as the Kariakor Derby and if Yanga win, they will be assured of lifting the league trophy.
On April 28, Tanzania's President, Samia Suluhu, declared two days of mourning following the death of Kenya's third President.
President Suluhu also ordered that all flags in the country be flown at half-mast in honour of Kibaki who served as Kenya's Head of State between 2002 and 2012.
