
Kenyan tennis starlet Angella Okutoyi is out of the Roland Garros (French Open Juniors) Singles for Girls.
Okutoyi suffered a defeat to Croatian Petra Marcinko losing (6-2, 6-4) at the Stade Roland Garros in France.
Marcinko is the Australian Open Juniors champion and World's top-seeded junior.

Okutoyi, however, beat 17-year-old Belgian Amelie Van Impe, defeating her 7-6, 6-4 in the round of 64 to progress to the second round.
Her next tourney will be the junior grand slam in Wimbledon, the UK in July.
The tennis sensation made history at the 2021 Australian Open after being the first Kenyan female to win a match at a junior grand slam tournament.
It was the first time in 16 years that a Kenyan had played at the Juniors Tournament and only the second time a Kenyan girl played in a Junior Grand Slam Tournament.
After her success in Australia, Wanjiru Mbugua Karani, the Secretary-General of Tennis Kenya noted that the government spent around Ksh923,200 (USD8,000) to facilitate her trip and other expenses to the Australian Open.
Okutoyi started playing tennis at the age of four and has risen to prominence, having bagged several trophies at the African championship.
The Kenyan tennis player is ranked 60th and hopes to improve her International Tennis Federation Junior ranking.
