
Manchester United has appointed former Liverpool fitness coach Andy O' Boyle as the Deputy Director of Football as a strategic move to revamp the club ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
O’Boyle will leave his current role as Head of Elite Performance at the Premier League to join United this summer.
"The appointment marks a return to Carrington for O’Boyle, 16 years after he served as a coach in our Academy, working with young players including Marcus Rashford" United, which finished sixth last season announced.

The 39-year-old will deputize John Murtough, United's Director of Football as the next season kicks off in August.
He will assist Murtough in driving Old Trafford's football strategy across the main team, academy, and the women’s team

The Irishman had a long role at Liverpool FC since July 2011 as head of elite fitness later earning a promotion as first-team fitness coach from October 2015 to 2017.
He then took up the Head of Elite Performance role with the Premier League prior to joining Manchester United.
Andy has a rich field skillset which include sports science, fitness, scouting, and recruitment.
He also served in different roles with England U21s, Coventry, and Wrexham clubs.
