Ronaldo who was earning a salary of Ksh68 million (£480,000-) a week will now take home a salary of Ksh50 million (£360,000) per week.
It was widely reported that Ronaldo told the club of his desire to leave, as he sought to compete in the Uefa Champions League.
Ronaldo was also said to have been disappointed by the club's lack of ambition in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The reports alleged that he was angling a move to UCL clubs, with his agent George Mendes touting him to Chelsea, La Liga, Serie A and other EPL clubs.
Manchester United players resumed training on Monday, July 4, with the Portuguese forward missing for two days.
Ronaldo issued an apology, citing that he snubbed training for family reasons. Currently, the United forward is training solo in Portugal.
Cristiano who finished the season as Man United's top scorer in the league with 18 goals, will have to settle for the Europa League or look for another top-tier club.
