World Athletics in conjunction with the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP) has appointed Eliud Kipchoge’s coach Patrick Sang to be part of an eight-member jury that will identify fair play moments at the upcoming 2022 World Championships slated for July 15 to Sunday July 24 in Oregon, United States.
According to a press release from the World Athletics, the jury has been tasked with creating a shortlist of five best fair play moments at the eagerly awaited championships.
“At this year’s World Championships, a jury comprising members of the CIFP and World Athletics will create a shortlist of five fair play moments from the championships,”
During the week following the championships, fans will be able to cast their votes through the World Athletics social media channels for the shortlisted moment that they feel best exemplifies fair play. These votes will be combined with the votes from the jury to determine three finalists for the Fair Play Award,” read the press release.
