
FIFA has ordered the Cameroon Football Federation to compensate former coach Toni Conceicao Ksh162.5million (1.35 million euros) for firing him.
According to a ruling by the FIFA tribunal, the Portugues should be compensated for a breach of contract without just cause.
The 60-year-old Portuguese coach was shown the door after Cameroon which was the host nation of the AFCON 2022 finals finished third.

Conceicao took Cameroon to world football’s governing body seeking compensation after being dismissed from his job in March 2022.
Cameroon is also required to pay the 60-year-old coach Ksh4.5 million as an outstanding bonus payment.
The Cameroon FA (FECAFOOT) was also instructed to complete the payment before 45 days, a failure to which they will be blocked from receiving a percentage of development funding from FIFA.
“The Respondent shall be imposed with a restriction on receiving a percentage development funding, up until the due amounts are paid,” part of the statement read.
The Lions of Teranga are now being led by former national captain Rigobert Song.
Song led the country to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Cameroon's qualifications was at risk after thy suffered a 1-0 loss to Algeria in their first leg. However, after a 2-1 win in the second leg, they qualified with away goals.
