Paris Saint Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe on Monday, September 5, distanced himself from the black magic claims and sided with his club teammate, Paul Pogba over the allegations that the Juventus midfielder cast a spell on him.

Speaking to the press ahead of PSG's Champions League Group H clash with Juventus, Mbappe exuded confidence in his teammate's side of the tale but opted not to be dragged into the public fallout between Paul and his brother, Mathias.

Mbappe affirmed that he had shifted his mindset to the Champions League group stages.

"He called me and gave me his version of the facts. Today, as I speak, it is his word against his brother's, so I will trust my teammate.

"I think in the interest of the selection too, I think we have a great competition. At the moment I think that he is in some problems, I think that it is not the moment to add to his problems and we will see how it goes, I am quite detached from all that," Mbappe noted.

The 23-year-old striker also downplayed the reports that stated he had a feud with PSG teammate Neymar. On August 15, 2022, both forwards clashed.

Neymar prevented Mbappe from taking a penalty kick after his earlier one had been saved, ignoring the order of penalty takers assigned by head coach Christophe Galtier.

"To talk about Neymar, this is the sixth year, I think we've always had a relationship like this based on respect.

"But we've always had moments like this where sometimes we've had moments that were a bit colder and moments that were a bit hotter.

The two brothers, Paul and Mathias, have in the recent past been embroiled in a public falling out, with the latter revealing secret information about his brother.

In his defense, Paul Pogba claimed to have been the victim of extortion at the hands of his sibling.
