
Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba lifted the suspension of FKF's National Executive Committee (NEC).
FKF President Nick Mwendwa will, however, stay away from office until his court case is resolved.
During a joint presser with FKF officials on Friday, November 4, Ababu announced that Mwenda's vice, Doris Petra would step in to lead football operations of the body.
Consequently, the same was communicated to FIFA in writing.

“In the meantime, the team lead by Dorris Petra and CEO Barry Otieno will roll out the program of football,” Namwamba confirmed.
On his part, Mwendwa insisted that he was still the president adding that the decision to step aside from his role was reached after a series of meetings with ministry officials.
“While I am president, we have agreed that while I wait for clearance from the court. I will allow the team to run without my interference.
“We also reached an agreement to get this communication out for FIFA to act accordingly," Mwendwa noted.
Barry on the other hand divulged that the sports CS agreed to heed FIFA's conditions to ensure that Kenya resumed international football competitions.
“We are pleased to confirm that the government has fulfilled the affirmation conditions as set out by the FIFA council,” Barry stated
“The federation will in the coming days communicate the next steps including the status of the just concluded 2021. 2022 league season and schedule date of the kick of the 2022/2023 league season,” Barry stated.
