Victor Wanyama has downplayed claims that he will be making a return to English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs.
During Tottenham's fixture on Sunday, November 6, against Liverpool, speculations went strife over Wanyama's return after he made a surprise appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, speaking to BBC News Wanyama noted that he had no intentions of returning to play for the London club.

“Not really that was just like going back to great the people as everyone knowns Spurs is like a family to me,” Wanyama noted.
Wanyama, currently in London, noted that he always passes by the city as he has friends and family around.
During his time at the Stadium, Wanyama posted a photograph of his son in the stadium, noting that he would like to see his son follow in his footsteps in the future.
‘Being a father is a great experience and me taking him to the stadium where I played will give him good memories and one day when he grows to be a good footballer then he will remember that he stepped once on a perfect and big stadium,” Wanyama added.
The 31-year-old midfielder also revealed a time when he and Heung Min Son were racially abused during a past match in Russia as some made vile remarks every time the two players touched the ball.
The former Harambee Stars captain also touched on Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis's statement on not signing African players due to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Disgruntled by the statements, Wanyama beseeched the Napoli president to respect African nations- adding that players like Victor Osimhen of Nigeria were vital to their team's success.
Wanyama is currently a free agent having declined to extend his contract with Major League Soccer side CF Montreal.
