
Federation Internationale de ‘I Automobile (FIA) World Motor Sport Council confirmed the official dates for the WRC Safari Rally Kenya.
The 2023 Safari Rally will be held from Thursday, June 22, to Sunday, June 25, centred around Nairobi and Naivasha.
This will be the seventh round in the 2023 World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar, according to the statement released on Saturday, November 26.

"Featuring 13 rounds from January and November, the calendar includes one new event, plus a return to two traditional heartlands in North and South America.
"Of the 13 rounds, five will count for the FIA Junior WRC Championship, which provides young, up-and-coming talents the opportunity to showcase their ability and grow their experience on a global stage in identical Rally3-specification Ford Fiestas," part of FIA's statement read.
Also, the FIA African Rally Championship 2023 calendar was announced. However, the dates for the Equator Rally Kenya were not released.
The FIA African Rally Championship 2023 will begin with; Ivory Coast (February 24-26), Kenya (TBA), Uganda (May 5-7); Zambia (June 23-25), Tanzania (July 21-13), Burundi (August 18-20) and conclude in Rwanda (September 22-24).
During her tenure, former Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed revealed that the 2021 WRC Safari Rally injected Ksh6 billion into the Kenyan economy.
The Safari Rally event returned to Kenya in 2019 after a 19-year hiatus and will take place in the country until 2026.
