
Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua received an honorary 6th Dan Black Belt during his visit to Seol, South Korea.
Mutua had been invited by his counterpart Foreign Minister Park Jim to visit the World Headquarters of Tae Kwondo (Kikkuwon).

A Kukikwon certificate is regarded as the most prestigious of all the Black Belt certificates within the art of Taekwondo.
It is required for anyone who wishes to compete at the international level to have a Kukkiwon certificate.
The former Machakos governor also participated in a Tae Kwondo demonstration at the World Headquarters.
In his tweet on November 26, Mutua noted that he learnt Tae Kwondo during his late teen and early 20s before he changed to Temple Kungfu.
Mutua also noted he would be venturing back to the sport to freshen up and remove rustiness.
The Foreign Affairs CS also revealed that his firstborn son takes part in Tae Kwondo and has qualified as a black belt holder.
Other leaders honoured at the Tae Kwondo headquarters include Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
However Russian president was stripped of his honorary 9th dan black belt in March 2022 following the conflict with Ukraine.
