
Kenyan international Moses Omondi commonly known as “Omosh” has penned a deal with Iraqi-based side Erbil Kurdistan.
According to his former club, Omondi, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Biosystem Agricultural and Engineering from Kenyatta University signed a one year contract.
“Kenyan opposite player Moses Omondi signs for Erbil Club Kurdistan Iraq for the 2022-2023 season from Trailblazers Volleyball Club. Good luck Moses,” read a statement from the Nairobi-based club.

The player who was once named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Kenya Volleyball League is one of the best opposite attackers to ever emerge from Kenya in recent times.
He has previously excelled in different clubs, within and outside the country.
In 2019, Omondi led the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) Volleyball Club to the national league and he was awarded the MVP award that season.
The same year, Moses was named the best server and the MVP during the Nyerere International Volleyball Tournament which was staged in Arusha, Tanzania.
Some of the other clubs that the 28-year-old has featured for in the past include three of the local banks and the Kenyatta University team.
Omondi also had a short stint (5 months) with Japanese top tier side Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler in 2018.
The experienced player joins a number of Kenyan players who have secured professional deals abroad this year, including the Malkia Strikers duo of Sharon Chepchumba and Veronica Adhiambo.
