Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played a crucial role in the success of African representatives Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
Speaking in a press conference in Dubai, The Arteta praised Walid for the brilliant job he has been doing with the North African side.
Arteta explained his ideas to Walid and others who participated in the seminar using Arsenal’s 2022 FA Cup semifinal victory over Manchester City.

“What he is doing is amazing. What the team is transmitting is great, and I think it is a really positive thing to have an African team at this stage,” stated Arteta.
Regragrui took charge of Morocco a few months before the commencement of the World Cup.
Since his appointment on Sunday, August 31, Walid has not lost a match. He has picked up vital wins against Chile, Georgia, Belgium and Portugal.
They have also drawn with 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia and Spain.
He guided them to the semifinal in Qatar, becoming the first African nation to reach the level.
To qualify for the semis, Morocco narrowly beat a star-studded Portuguese side 1-0 in a closely contested match.
They will play the two-time world champions France on Wednesday, December 14, at 10.00 pm East African Time.
Should the Atlas Lions beat the European nation, they will square it out with Argentina in the final scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 18, at the Lusail Stadium.
