Team Kenya has compiled a list of Kenyans who have transferred to clubs outside Africa between January and December 2022. 

Timothy Noor Ouma

IF Elfsborg announced the signing of 18-year-old Kenyan midfielder Timothy Noor Ouma on August 24, 2022. 

Ouma who is popularly known as ‘Babu’ completed the move from FKF Premier League side Nairobi City Stars FC.

"It feels fantastic to be here! Everything is new to me - but the arena and the surroundings here are very good.

"Now I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates," Ouma noted as quoted by the club's website.

Timothy penned a four-year deal with the Swedish side which will see him at the club until 2026. 

Tobias Otieno Omondi

Kenyan midfielder, Tobias Otieno, moved to US third-tier side, Tormenta FC from fellow USL One side, Union Omaha. 

Otieno was a key player for Omaha in the last two years after joining the club from Gor Mahia in 2020. 

“Otieno is a player that teammates love playing with as he competes for everything and has an infectious love of the game.

“He arrived at USL League One and achieved great success at Union Omaha. Now, we aim to develop his game even further and build on that success," the coach stated. 

The 23-year old on February 15, switched clubs after it was announced by Tormenta that they had signed him.

In his time at Union Omaha, Otieno helped the club win its first USL League during the 2021 season.

Johnstone Omurwa

Kenyan defender Johnstone Omurwa joined Portuguese second-tier side C.F. Estrela da Amadora. 

The former Wazito FC Captain, Omurwa on August 29, confirmed joining the Portuguese side after an unsuccessful period in Israel. 

The Portuguese club confirmed the acquisition of the 24-year-old but did not reveal the details of the contract as Omurwa is expected to help bolster the team’s defensive line.

"Omwura is ready to defend the shirt of Amadora," the club affirmed.

Feiswal Mohammed Bamkuu, joined French third tier side, La Berrichonne de Châteauroux in January 2022.

This was the first time in the history of Lamu for a player to get such a chance that Feiswal has received.

Feisal broke the barrier as he was raised in an environment that is faced with various challenges from, poor education, poverty and also lack of facilities to grow talent.

“My promise to the club is that I will dedicate myself to them and also I will fly the Kenyan flag high.

“I am ready for the challenge. Thank you La Berrichonne de Châteauroux for the great reception. Feeling at home already," he assured.
