Chelsea head coach Graham Potter revealed that despite being on holiday he was still thinking of the Blues.

The Chelsea boss added that he thought of Chelsea while on holiday due to the poor form before the World Cup break.

Chelsea is positioned eighth in the Premier League with 21 points having failed to register a win in their last five fixtures.

“I’d rather have gone on holiday with a couple of wins, I’d have been better company for my poor wife.

“I’m staring into the Pacific Ocean, and she’s thinking about what a wonderful time we’re having, and I’m thinking about Chelsea!,” Potter noted.

The 47-year-old manager speaking to Mirror Sport also revealed that he met with Chelsea’s Co-owner Behdad Eghbali while in California, USA.

Potter expressed his confidence in the new owners noting that they are fantastic and he was looking forward to what was ahead.

“I met up with Behdad and had a good chat. I'm even more confident, more aware of the support I have now than I was three months ago,” Potter noted.

He added that he used the pain, frustration, and disappointment that the team underwent during the past few weeks before the break to plan the way forward.

Chelsea will take on newly acquired Bournemouth on Tuesday, December 27, in their first fixture after the World Cup break.
