Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey will get a La Liga medal following Atletico Madrid's final La Liga Fixture win against Real Valladolid on Saturday, May 22.
Diego Simone's men were crowned champions on a dramatic last day in the Spanish league.
Atletico came from behind to beat Real Valladolid 2-1 to pip rivals Real Madrid to their first title in seven years.
However, the Ghanian midfielder will be able to share the glory of his former teammates after featuring in three games for Diego Simeone’s men prior to his 45 million pound transfer to Arsenal last transfer window.
As per the La Liga rules, Partey is entitled to share in the victory with Atletico, which will be the first league title of his career since he featured for the Spanish Giants before making a move to Arsenal.
The midfielder won the 2018 Europa League and 2018 European Super Cup while featuring for Atletico Madrid.
After signing for Arsenal, he had hoped to turn around the club's misfortunes. Unfortunately, he failed to do it in his first season stay at North London and will not play European football next season after finishing 8th on the Premier League log.
