Veteran Sports Journalist Ali Kauleni Hassan landed a new job days after announcing his exit from Radio Maisha, where he spent over 13 years on the airwaves.

Kauleni, on Saturday, February 25, announced that he would be working at the Westlands-based Radio 47. 

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Kauleni detailed that he assumed the position of a Sports Editor in the yet-to-be-launched radio station.

"I will also play the role of a presenter, commentator and Swahili Education Show host on Saturdays, morning hours," Kauleni stated. 

However, Kauleni did not reveal the name of his co-host and the details of the show he will be in charge of.

"I can't share the names, timings and co-hosts before we launch next month," he added. 

The veteran journalist announced his exit from Standard Group PLC via his column section of the Nairobian newspaper.

"For close to 13 years, I have been hosting this programme, but it is now time to say goodbye,

"Life is about change just like birth, marrying and dying. Life is like celebrations or tears of joy. I bid farewell to you today," Kauleni stated as he exited Radio Maisha's Saturday morning show.

He joined a list of experienced journalists who were poached by Radio 47, a sister station of TV47.
