Kenya Morans will know their opponents in the FIBA Afro-Basket 2021 on Friday May 28.

The draw for  the 16-team tournament will be conducted  in Kigali, Rwanda.

Morans qualified for the Africa Championship for the first time in 28 years by shocking Angola 74-73 on the buzzer in their Group ‘B’ qualifiers in Yaounde, Cameroon in February.

That historic triumph saw Kenya finish third in the group. They, however, lost 59-51 to leaders Senegal and 71-44 to bottom-placed Mozambique.

Morans under the tutelage of Australian coach Liz Mills hope to create history against the big boys in the tournament to be held at the Kigali Arena.

Mills  is expected in Nairobi this month to start preparations for the tournament.
