Shabana FC’s dream move for FKF Premier League promotion got a major boost on Monday when they swept aside Vihiga Bullets 4-1 to move to within four points of leaders Talanta FC.

Widely regarded as the third most popular club in the country, Robert Ojienda’s side ran riot to lea[frog their opponents in a match played at the Awendo Green Stadium.
Elly Augustine, Brian Michira, Ian Munish and Fred Nyakundi scored for Shabana with Geoffrey Airo scoring the consolation goal for the visitors.
In Mombasa, relegation threatened Modern Coast were held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Murang’a Seals in a match the visitors wasted numerous chances according to their coach Vincent Nyaberi.
“We were in desperate need of a win in order to maintain our chances of remaining in the league next season, but I’m satisfied with the results given that we were away,” Nyaberi said.

At the Camp Toyoyo Grounds, Nairobi Stima hopes of survival were boosted when they beat MCF 2-1 to take their tally to 25 points for the season.
Stima’s first goal came in the 41st minute when Benjamin Chaka’s corner was turned home by Hillary Otieno to break the deadlock.
Stima got the second three minutes later when Fortune Omoto delivered a fine assist to Roland Makati who gave the homeside the second goal of the match.
Former Gor Mahia man, Ivan Anguyo almost pulled one for the visitors in the 50th minute but his freekick rattled the crossbar with  Nairobi Stima’s Goalkeeper Dolph Owiwo well beaten.
MCF pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Bradley Omondi.
In other matches, Mwatate United drew 4-4 with Silibwet in Wundanyi while AP’s Bomet beat Coast Stima 3-2 in Mbaraki.
