KCB have knocked Tusker FC off the top of the Betking Premier League table following a 1-0 win away at Bidco United.

In another match, Reigning champions Gor Mahia kept the pressure on the top three teams after edging out bottom-placed Mathare United 1-0 at Ruaraka grounds. In Wundanyi, AFC Leopards came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Sofapaka while Wazito silenced Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 at the Utalii Grounds.

At Ruaraka, it was a tale of two teams in contrasting fashions as Mathare United hosted Gor Mahia.
Mathare defender Lennox Ogutu diverted the ball into his own net after a superb delivery from Alpha Onyango.
In Thika, Derrick Otanga’s penalty in the first half was enough to hand KCB a much-needed win in the race for the title. The win saw Bankers  leapfrog Tusker at the helm of the table with 39 points, a point above the breweries who lost 1-0 to Posta Rangers on Tuesday.
At the Wundanyi stadium, two quick fire goals by Lawrence Juma seem to have won Sofapaka the all important points but Elvis Rupia and Austine Adhiambo’s goals ensured that AFC Leopards picked a point on the road against Sofapaka.

Juma scored in the first minute of the game and added the other ten minutes later to set up what looked to be a rout. AFC Leopards golden boy Elvis Rupia halved the deficit in the 18th minute from the spot before Austine got on the scoresheet for the first time this season with a cheeky freekick that beat Kevin Omondi in the Sofapaka goal.
At the Utalii grounds, Wazito FC beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-0.
