Football stars and fans alike continue to fill up the Euro 2020 with pomp and color. Speaking of color, German Captain Manuel Neuer graced his first two games of the competition wearing a rather interesting armband; completely showcasing the rainbow colors.

The veteran keeper who recently reached a milestone of 100 caps for the national team decided to openly express himself with the rainbow-colored armband in a bid to commemorate 'Pride Month' (The predominant outlook that bolsters most LGBT rights movements) which is held during the month of June.

More to that, the expressive action by the German Skipper was speculated to have breached UEFA rules but after successful investigations, No penalties or disciplinary actions will be taken against him or the German Football Association (DFB).

Apparently, UEFA have put in place rules that do not permit athletes, in this case footballers from making political statements. UEFA went on to make a statement saying, "Neuer was promoting a good cause" Whereas the German Football Association penned a letter on Twitter in acknowledgement saying, "The armband has been assessed as a team symbol for diversity and thus for a good cause.
