Gaspo Women will meet Thika Queens in the final of the FKF Women Premier League playoff on Sunday after overcoming Vihiga Queens and Nakuru Queens respectively.
Gaspo toppled outgoing champions Vihiga 5-4 in post-match penalties in the first semi-final played at the Nakuru ASK Showgrounds on Friday, June 25, 2021.
Gaspo took the lead in the 21st minute of the game when Harambee Starlet midfielder Corazone Aquino scored from the spot after Shery Angach was fouled in the box.
Another Kenya international Jentrix Shikangwa equalized for the former champions later on when she headed home from a corner to level matters.
In the second match of the day, it was one way traffic as a Mwanahalima Adam’s inspired Thika Queens ran riot against their hosts, thumping them 4-1 to set up a Kiambu Derby on Sunday June 27, 2021.
Adam scored a brace in the 5th and 76th minute to help Thika win comfortably in Nakuru. Esse Akida and defender Dorcas Shikobe scored the other goals. Melon Muindi scored the consolation goal for the hosts.
