Kenya U23 side Emerging Stars, held their final training session on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, ahead of the CECAFA U23 Championship kicking off on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
The team held their final training session at Nyayo Stadium before they travel to Ethiopia on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, for the regional tournament.
Stanley Okumbi’s Stars have been placed in Pool C of the Challenge Cup together with South Sudan and Djibouti.
Pool A has Uganda, Tanzania and DR Congo who are participating as a guest team.
Hosts Ethiopia finds themselves in Pool B alongside Burundi and Eritrea. Group A has defending Champions Uganda, Tanzania, and DR Congo.
The top teams in each of the three pools will proceed to the tournament’s semi-finals, alongside one best runner-up.
