AFC Leopards will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Western Stima at the ASK Showground in Nakuru.

The clash between these two teams has never lacked drama from social media to the main event.

On December 18,2020 at the Kasarani Annex, Ingwe got a slap in the face when two late goals by John Mukisa condemned the then leaders to their first league defeat of the season. Against all odds, Stima made it possible having just travelled on matchday to take on the much fancied Leopards.

Tuesday’s Betking Premier League match takes place in unfamiliar territory and both teams will be seeking maximum points to fulfill their season’s ambitions.

Stima who are the hosts are third from bottom and not yet out of safety while Ingwe are third on the log, 11 points adrift of leaders Tusker with eight matches to go.

In the last outing, AFC Leopards missed 12 players when they took on Tusker and it was evident that they could not match the runaway leaders, losing 2-0 in the end. Stima who are being coached by former AFC Leopards coach Juma Abdalla were on the other hand handed a 2-1 beating by Ulinzi Stars and that extended their winless run to four in the league

The Injury list at Patrick Aussems side is long and he recently admitted that everything was not working as planned.

Several players are also quitting the club after the expiry of their contracts, it cannot get more worse according to the Belgian gaffer.

“12 players unavailable , another seriously injured today , a lot of missed chances and obvious offsides on the 2 goals conceded... that's a lot , isn't it ?? But we produce modern and attractive football so let's keep going but work again and again on our offensive efficiency,” he wrote on Twitter after the loss to Tusker FC.
