Emerging Stars Coach Stanley Okumbi has handed Marvin Nabwire his first cap for the national team as the AFC Leopards man was drafted in the starting team that will take on South Sudan in their second CECAFA U23 Championships in Bahir Dir, Ethiopia.
Nabwire replaces Sven Yidah, and will partner Vincent Wasambo and Ulinzi Stars' John Njuguna in midfield.
Captain Benard Ochieng, Frank Odhiambo, Lewis Bandi, and Fredrick Alushula have been named in defense while Henry Meja will once more lead the frontline.
Kickoff has been slated for 1 pm in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, with the match set to be aired LIVE on Azam TV.
