Is Englishman Mark Harrison lined up for Gor Mahia Job?

Mark Harrison

Reports have linked that English tactician, Mark Harrison could be the next man in line to take over from Carlos Manuel Vaz Pinto as Gor Mahia's Head coach. However, Gor Mahia's CEO, Lordvick Aduda had different sentiments saying that 5 candidates out of 45 had been shortlisted and that discussions are still underway to determine the perfect fit man to take the job. Aduda also said that the 5 candidates are mostly foreign coaches due to the set qualifications by the club's criteria, availability of the coaches themselves and wage discussions also playing a big factor.

Mark Harrison who might be among the 5 has a vast C.V having managed 13 clubs since his managerial debut in 1994. Among the club's he has coached include Chippa United and Golden Arrows of the Premier Soccer League in South Africa, and Zimbabwe's PSL teams Harare City and Highlanders FC, as well as Botswana's Township Rollers.

The 60 year old tactician was also a goalkeeper who played for Southampton between 1977 and 1979 plus at Stoke City between 1982 and 1984. In the recruiting process, Gor Mahia will definitely need a coach who will help push their ambitions both in the local domestics and in the Caf games.
