Title Race Not Yet Decided as Tusker and KCB Drop Points

The race for the BetKing Premier League took a new twist on Friday after both Tusker FC and KCB FC failed to win their respective matches.

Tusker who are leading the log lost 1-0 to Nairobi City Stars while KCB lost 2-0 to Posta Rangers to remain one point behind the leaders.

Ezekiel Odera scored the only goal of the match as City Stars beat Tusker 1-0 at Ruaraka to blow wide the title race. The win propelled City Stars to fifth on the log with 41 points with Tusker still remaining top with 55 points.

In the early kick off, Jackson Dwang scored a brace as Posta Rangers shocked KCB 2-0 to move to 12th in the Premier League log.

Former champions Ulinzi Stars came from a goal down to gun down Vihiga United 2-1 at the Nakuru ASK ground. Ibrahim Shambi bagged a brace for the soldiers, cancelling out Stewart Omondi’s first half strike for the strugglers.

Western Stima’s chances of survival also grew thinner as they lost 1-0 to Bidco United in Thika. Eric Gichimu netted the lone goal of the match.

Nzoia Sugar Fc were the biggest winners of the day, thrashing Bandari FC 4-1 at the Nakuru ASK ground.

Hillary Simiyu opened scores in the 6th minute of the game with Kevin Wanyama adding the second eight minutes later. Felicien Okanda and Gaeta Masha scored the other goals in between a John Mwita’s consolation.

 Nzoia remains static in the 14th position with 26 points from 27 matches while Bandari retained their 9th position from 27 matches with 40 points.
