All out chaos erupted when Victor Wanyama got into a heated moment with Atlanta United's forward Josef Martinez. The Harambee Stars Skipper who currently plays for CF Montreal had a scuffle with Martinez late in the second half when both teams were deadlocked at 2 goals a piece. After a Video Review, Martinez and Wanyama were both given red cards after both players head-butted each other and Wanyama grabbed Martinez's throat in the 82nd minute.

All the action began in the second half when Montreal's Mason Toye scored the first goal at the 53rd minute. With a wonderful pass from teammate Joaquin Torres, Toye easily went past the seasoned Atlanta United keeper, Brad Guzan. Montreal then took advantage of a marking error on a corner kick to take a two-goal lead in the 63rd minute. Camacho was left on his own along the far post and it gave him more than enough time to volley the ball past Guzan.

Atlanta United were soon on the comeback trail when Josef Martinez found the net with a near-post shot that froze keeper Pantemis in his place. Atlanta were then awarded a penalty when a rush challenge at the box saw Montreal's Camacho being shown a red card. Atlanta United soon equalised, setting the game at 2-2. The Draw between the two teams sees Montreal in 8th position with 23 points while Atlanta United settled at 11th with 15 points.
