
Football Kenya Federation Premier League(FKF PL) leaders Tusker FC have secured the services of Kenya international goalkeeper Brian Bwire from Kariobangi Sharks.
Tusker who are also preparing for the CAF Champions League next season have also signed former Gor Mahia defender Charles Momanyi and are in pursuit of goalkeeper Patrick Matasi and AFC Leopards want-away defender Clyde Senaji.
Bwire confirmed the latest development on Monday saying that he was almost getting the deal done.
“It’s true I've parted ways with Sharks and I'm on my way to Tusker,” said Bwire.
The keeper’s season has been hampered with injuries but his latest heroics in the just concluded Cecafa U-23 championship in Ethiopia where he guided the Emerging Stars to the finishing in fourth place.
“We had hoped to bring the title home but things didn't turn out according to our plans,” said Bwire.
Bwire began his career at AFC Leopards Cubs in 2016 after completing his secondary education at Kakamega High School.
He joined Kariobangi Sharks in 2017 and has been their first choice keeper since the departure of John Oyemba to AFC Leopards.
Tusker who are beefing up their squad ahead of next season are reported to be chasing the services of midfielder Teddy Osok who is a free agent after being released by Zambian side Kabwe Warriors. The former Wazito FC man is already training with Robert Matano’s side.
