
RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann has agreed to join Bayern Munich as the head coach at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old had been linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job following the sacking of Jose Mourinho,will replace the outgoing Hansi Flick at the Allianz Arena from July 1.
The reigning Bundesliga champions and current league leaders said on their official website: "FC Bayern have appointed Julian Nagelsmann as their new head coach.
“The Bavarian-born 33-year-old will move to Munich from RB Leipzig on 1 July 2021 ahead of the new season, signing a five-year contract with the German record champions until 30 June 2026.
"This comes after FC Bayern agreed to current head coach Hansi Flick's request to have his contract terminated on 30 June 2021, two years earlier than its original expiry date."Nagelsmann has earned a reputation as one of the best young coaches in European football, making Leipzig a force in both Germany and the continent.
His managerial career began at Hoffenheim when he was just 28 in February 2016. He later moved to RB Leipzig in 2019 helping them achieve third place finish in the Bundesliga and reached the UEFA Champions League last 16, where they lost to Liverpool.
