
Kenyan long-distance runner Kandie Kibiwott took first place and crowned the fastest ever in men's 10km pack, with a time of 0:26:50 on Saturday, April 30.
The Kenyan runner was the first person to break the 58-minute barrier in the men's half-marathon.
The 25-year-old is also the world championship silver medalist in the half-marathon.

He also holds the world record at the distance set in Valencia 2020 at 57:32.
Kandie missed the Tokyo Olympics due to a right knee injury, missing a chance to make his maiden appearance at the global showpiece.
In the same race, Rodrigue Kwizera of Burundi made history for his country after completing the course in an impressive 0:26:56.
In the first race of the day, Ethiopian Tigist Assefa set the pace in the half marathon, crossing the finish line at 1:07:28 to secure a personal record and the women’s-only world lead time.
Fellow Ethiopian Fentaye Belayneh won the women's 10km race, inscribing her name into the history books, securing Ethiopia’s fastest ever women’s 10km time with 0:30:25.
Uganda's Sarah Chelangat became her country's fastest woman over 10km, crossing the finish line in 0:31:11.
