Kenya 7s international, Oscar Dennis, has officially retired from professional rugby at the age of 29.
Oscar announced the decision to retire through a social media post on his Instagram page.
The Shujaa player has been out of action for nearly two years since being involved in a deadly road accident while cycling his bicycle.
He was flown to South Africa for treatment after incurring crucial injuries to his leg.
Dennis revealed that his decision was influenced by nearly two years of fighting with injuries occasioned by the road carnage.

"It's fair to say that these past 21 months have been the hardest of my life but also the most rewarding in a weird way!
“However, it comes with a heavy heart that I have taken the step to retire from rugby and finally hang the old boots once and for all!,” part of his statement read.
The last time Oscar featured in a rugby match was in November 2020 before the accident occurred.
The 29-year-old thanked his supporters for standing with him throughout his career and during his recovery period.
“What a journey it has been and I can't thank everyone enough for the love and support I have had that has made this journey and chapter in my life an incredible one!
“I leave the amazing game with plenty of memories and friends for life from all corners of the world! But for now, let's bring on the next chapters in life," his post read.
In his career, Oscar won the Rugby Africa Cup title with Kenya 7s in 2019 and featured in 20 matches for Kenya in the World 7s Series, scoring four tries.
