
Shujaa suffered a 26-7 loss to Argentina in their second Pool D match at the Cathay Pacific/HSBC, Hong Kong Sevens.
The national team was thus knocked out of the Hong Kong 7s main cup.
This was Shujaa’s second group loss following a 28-12 defeat against Ireland on November 4, kickstarting the 2022/2023 season on a low.

Vincent Onyala scored Shujaa's only try after he dummied the defenders, with Tony Omondi converting early in the match.
Argentina quickly changed the tide, scoring three tries and two conversions, ending the first half with a 19-7 lead.
Shujaa who were down one player in the first half after Willy Ambaka received a yellow card for a late tackle attempted to salvage the match but Argentina stamped authority with its fourth try and conversion minutes after the restart.
The South American knocked out Shujaa with a game to spare
In the other Pool D match, Ireland handed Canada a 19-17 defeat.
Argentina leads Pool D with six points followed by Ireland with Kenya coming in at third and Canada at fourth.
Shujaa will play their last Pool D match against Canada at 9:45 am East African Time.
