Manchester United boss Eric ten Hag dropped Marcus Rashford from the squad minutes to their Premier League clash with Wolves.

The Red Devils visited the Molineux Stadium on Saturday, December 31, with Alejandro Garnacho playing in place of Rashford.

Minutes before the match Ten Hag highlighted that the English forward was on the bench due to an internal disciplinary issue.

"Internal disciplinary. No [details]. Our rules. Now focus on the game. He is in very good form and no one can play all the games," Ten Hag stated.

The decision from Ten Hag depicts his policy where he does not tolerate any level of indiscipline in his team.

This is not the first time the Dutchman is dropping a player due to discipline issues as he did so to Portugal striker and now Al Nassr FC forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ten Hag drops Rashford despite him being on top form having scored four goals in his last five appearances.

United played their first match after the World Cup on Tuesday, December 27, where he scored his fifth league goal.

The Red Devils play Wolves with the hope of taking three points which will position them in the top four.

On how the team will approach the match against Wolves Ten Hag noted that his side will have to show a willingness to win.
