Sports journalism is among the most interesting and unpredictable professions.
Sometimes everything may work smoothly but on other occasions, complications can arise.
In an exclusive interview with TeamKenya.co.ke, Joshua Makori, who is arguably the best Swahili Sports journalist in the country, recalled the most memorable interview he has ever done in his decade-long media career.

According to the Jodan College alumni, he will forever recall an interview he did with the current Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, immediately after being sworn into office in 2022.
The NTV news anchor stated that he was the first journalist to interview Namwamba after he was sworn into office.
“My most memorable interview is the one I did with the current Sports CS Ababu Namwamba. I conducted a live interview with him on NTV Adhuhuri.
“Actually, I was the first news anchor to ask Namwamba about Kenya’s football future at a time when the country was serving a FIFA ban,” commented Makori.
Makori, who initially worked at the Kibera-based Pamoja FM, divulged that he was shell-shocked when a technical hitch occurred moments before they went on air.
“Shockingly, we nearly failed to go live on air due to a technical failure. A video transmission device called Live U suddenly failed while we were on standby.
“But due to God’s grace, it became operational a few minutes before we went live on air,” ended Makori.
