Team Kenya has already started preparations for the 2024 Olympic Games scheduled to take place between Friday, July 26 and Saturday, August 11.
Unlike in the previous editions, the country will use a unique training facility located in Miramas, a city in the Southern part of France to prepare for the highly anticipated summer games.
Kenyan sprinters were the first to arrive in Miramas on Wednesday, February 1, to assess the facilities they are going to use during their residential camp.

They were accompanied by the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) president Paul Tergat.
The Kenyan ambassador to France, professor Judy Wakhungu, who was in Miramas to welcome the team, described the facility as a first-class one.
“National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) officials and Kenya athletes settling down in Miramas. The Kenya Olympics 2024 training facility in Miramas is first class,” she ended.
Some of the other Kenyan teams that are expected to use the facility this year include the Hit squad (boxing team), Malkia Strikers (Women's Volleyball team), the fencing, and 3x3 basketball teams.

Apart from the amazing scenery, Miramas offers everything an athlete needs to excel in today's highly competitive sporting field.
The one-of-a-kind training camp has state-of-the-art gyms for all sporting activities including rugby, hockey, volleyball, field and track events as well as tennis.
It boasts a modular, functional, and extremely spacious work area. A 25m indoor and 50m outdoor swimming pools are also available within the complex.
For field and track events, sports persons can take advantage of a well-kept outdoor grass stadium.
Moreover, besides being situated in a locality that is easy to access by various means of transport, athletes can take part in different leisure activities during their free time.
Kenyan sportspersons can play golf, sail, take a walk in the forest or visit a cinema to watch the latest films.
