The Kenya Rugby Union has issued out a plan on how they plan to conduct the vaccination among players so as to protect players from any form of health risk that is brought about by the deadly virus.
The Ministry of Sports in conjunction with the Ministry of Health Flagged off a vaccination programme specifically for athletes at the Kasarani indoor Arena.
The Kenya Rugby Union has therefore joined other sports federations such as the FKF and KBF in ensuring that the players get vaccinated and the sports suspension by the government issued is lifted quicker.
The first batch of players that were given a priority are the Chipu U20 and Kenya Simbas who received their first jab last week on Thursday.
The Lionesses and Shujaa 7s who jetted back into the country on Saturday from the Dubai Invitational sevens will be expected to receive their vaccination today as they prepare for the Tokyo Olympic games.
For the Kenya Cup clubs both men and women in the top tier division will be scheduled to receive their vaccination from tomorrow so as to ensure local rugby resumes as soon as possible.
The Union is set to organise for the local clubs outside the Capital's environs to have access to the vaccination as well from their designated counties.
