Nairobi City Stars were held by a struggling Nzoia Sugar to a barren draw at a match held at Ruaraka grounds.
Nzoia managed to get a point from City Stars ending their two-match losing streak however they are still without a win this season.
Nzoia are yet to record any win in the FKF Premier League having lost five games and drawing three, leaving them second bottom on the log with only three points.
To the frustration of City stars who are the second top scoring team in the league, Nzoia managed to get a clean sheet from the match.
The game had a slow start as both teams as at the 15th minute did not show any signs of netting in showing the lack of match fitness from the two week football break.
At the stroke of half time, Nzoia's Levis Okello had a one on one opportunity with the goalkeeper, however his effort to put the ball past the keeper was intercepted by Salim 'Shitu' Abdallah who swept off the attempt from the line for the game closest chance as both sides went into the break with the deadlock broken.
As the second half kick started both teams brought in fresh legs from the bench. City Stars brought in Nicholas Kipkirui and Oliver Maloba in place of Davis Agesa and Ezekiel Odera as Nzoia brought on Ken Wasike in place of Leonard Kasembeli.
Nzoia started the second half at a high pace however minutes into the half the game slowed down. Both teams lacked quality in the final third leading to the match ending in a 0-0 draw.
