Former Arsenal striker, Emmanuel Adebayo, has come out and voiced his opinion on the controversial issue surrounding Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and his club, Arsenal.

Adebayo defended Aubameyang noting that the club was at fault to strip him off the captaincy.

Aubameyang was stripped off the captaincy and has not made any match appearances for the club since early December last year.

“Since the first problem that happened with Arsenal, I know he will definitely go through a lot because that’s Arsenal for you.

“You can do whatever you do and they never learn or know how to forgive. I know he has gone through a lot," noted Adebayo.

He added that he recognised Aubameyang as a good player, wishing him all the best at the club.

"I have sent him a message already," he added.

"We just want him to bounce back, because whether we like it or not he is our African brother and we want him to keep representing Africa the way he was doing it before the problems started."

When Adebayo was asked whether he saw any future for Aubameyang at Arsenal, he noted it would be hard for him to stay at the club.

“In Arsenal, I do not think so, this is what I know because it also happened to me, not the same way but in Arsenal way back.

“I would be surprised if they change but as I have said Aubameyang is a great player so let's see how it ends up,” Adebayo noted.
