Kenyan Premier League record champions, Gor Mahia, on February 1, appointed Andreas Spier as the club's new head coach.
The technical team under him will comprise Michael Nam as the assistant coach and Boniface Oluoch as the goalkeeping coach.
Spier's appointment came three days after the club fired Briton Mark Harrison and his technical bench over poor results.
The 59-year-old manager has tremendous experience in the football world, mainly known for his contribution to the development of youth talent.
The German was appointed in 2016 as the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) technical director where he served for two years till 2018.
In his role as the FKF technical director, he was mandated with the task of training coaches and growing youth football.
His last assignment before the new Gor Mahia job was in Germany where he was Eintracht Frankfurt’s Technical Director.
During his time in the Rwandan League, Spier was able to lead Armee Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (APR) to win the league and a domestic cup.
Spier, who has a UEFA Pro Licence, also served as Romania U18-U19 National Team Head Coach from June 2014, to May 2016.
The experienced manager is expected to help Gor Mahia change their fortune as they are fifth in the league just six points adrift of the leader Kakamega Homeboyz.
