In 2009, Jason Brown signed a five-year Ksh4.2 billion ($37.5 million) contract with NFL side Rams.
His five-year contract with Rams made him the highest paid centre in the NFL at the time.
However, after two seasons Jason was dropped to the team's bench where he would no longer be in the starting lineup.
In 2012 his contract with the Rams was cut even though he had more to offer as he was just 29 years. Offers were made to him but he turned them down.

During his exit many people faulted him with his agent cautioning him over the move, terming it as a big mistake in his career.
Brown ventured into farming which he had no idea about but through YouTube videos he was able to figure things out.
The 38 year old, runs a 1000-acre farm in Louisburg, North Carolina, where he grows sweet potatoes and other food crops.
Through the produce from his farm, Brown helps the less fortunate in society whereby in 2016 it was reported that he gave away tonnes of farm produce.
Brown felt as if God was leading him away from the NFL and that his true calling would come in some other way, probably through farming.
“My agent, he told me, ‘You’re making the biggest mistake of your life’. And I looked right back at him and I said, ‘No I am not,'” Brown noted.
In 2016, he gave away 20 tonnes of sweet potatoes and 4.5 tonnes of cucumbers.
