It will be an all Tunisian affair in the final to be played on Friday after CS Sfaxien and Carthage convincingly won their semi-finals against Nigeria's Customs and Kenya Prisons respectively. Both games ended 3-0 in favour of the home teams.
David Lung'aho's Prisons will vie for bronze medal with Customs on Friday.
For Prisons, it was not a usual game for them as unprecedented errors made it easy for the opponents to prevail over them. Coach Lung'aho has said that his team deserved to do better.
"We made so many errors when we needed not to make errors. Service-reception and attack was not very good. At very crucial moments the calls by the referee were suspect. He made very bad calls that really affected our players," Lung'aho said.
Some of our players are still young in this game and when you officiate against them it really affects them for a long time. I'm happy with the performance, Meldine played very well though at the last minute she went down which was due to the demotivation from the referee," he lamented.
Earlier, another Tunisian side CO Kelibia beat Burkina Faso's AS Douanes 3-0 to book Pipeline in the 5th place final to be played on Thursday. Pipeline overcame Wolaita Sodo University of Ethiopia 3-0. Wolaita and AS Douanes will battle for 7th place tomorrow.
The first match of the day saw National Alcohol of Ethiopia come from behind to avenge their group stage loss to ASEC Mimosas, edging the Ivorians 3-2 to secure 9th place.
