On Friday, March 18, the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals draw was conducted and title favourites Barcelona paired with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs FC Barcelona

The German team is the only side remaining to have ever lifted the trophy.

This will be Barcelona’s first-ever meeting with the German side as they battle for the coveted cup.

RB Leipzig vs Atalanta BC

Italian side Atalanta will face yet another German side, RB Leipzig.

Atalanta beat Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16 with a 4-2 aggregate score as Leipzig qualified after Russia's Spartak Moscow was removed from the tournament.

West Ham United vs Olympique Lyonnais

English side West Ham will battle it out with French club Lyon, this being the second time the Hammers will be facing a French team.

The last time was against Metz where the London side won on a 3-2 aggregate.

The team led by David Moyes knocked Sevilla out of the competition in the round of 16, with Lyon defeating Porto to reach the quarters.

Lyon has won four and drawn once in their last five European matches against English clubs.

S.C. Braga vs Rangers F.C.

Rangers will face Braga in another quarter-finals tie

The Scottish club has an outstanding record in the tournament as they are unbeaten in their last 13 games in European competition against Portuguese sides.

The last time they suffered a loss to a Portuguese side was in September 2004 against Maritimo in the UEFA Cup first round.

The first legs of the quarters will be played on April 7th, with the second legs coming a week later on April 14th.

Also, the semi-final draw was announced with the winner between West Ham United and Olympique Lyonnais facing the winner between Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Barcelona.

The second semi final match will be between the winner of the S.C. Braga and Rangers F.C. match between RB Leipzig and Atalanta BC.

This seasons final takes place in Seville at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium on Wednesday, May 18.
