On March 29, Ghana booked a place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup at the expense of Nigeria after a 1 - 1 draw.

The Black Stars were led by former player, Otto Addo, who was appointed the national coach, on an interim basis after a poor performance by Ghana at AFCON.

After leading Ghana to the 2022 World Cup, Addo, becomes the first Ghanaian player and coach to feature at the global football event.

Coach Addo led the Black Stars to draw 1 - 1 against Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday.

Ghana will be making history as this will be their fourth time to participate in the FIFA World Cup tournament.

The 46-year-old is also the second Ghanaian coach to take the country to the tournament after Kwesi Appiah in 2014.

Addo, as a player, was privileged to play for some of the most prestigious European clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Mainz 05, Hannover 96, and HSV in the German league.

The interim coach, after the qualification, praised his players for their fight for a place at the world stage.

The tactician also acknowledged the contribution by the previous technical bench led by former coach, Milovan Rajevac.
