NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua has asked the relevant football stakeholders in the country to take lessons from the current ban and clean up the mess.
Karua who was speaking to Nation Sport noted that it was unfortunate that FIFA made the decision to ratify Kenya's suspension.
The seasoned politician noted that the footballers will suffer from something that is not in their control.

"It is the most unfortunate thing as our players are going to suffer through no fault of their own. We need to protect sports and also make sports a business and profession for our youth," Karua noted.
Karua also pointed out that it was not the first time that Kenya was facing such a predicament as she asked the relevant bodies to resolve the matter promptly.
On Thursday, March 31, the World Football governing body FIFA ratified Kenya's indefinite suspension during its Congress in Doha, Qatar.
The ban placed on Kenya was as a result of the government's interference with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).
Back in November 2021 Kenya's Sports Cabinet Secretary, Amina Mohamed, disbanded the FKF and installed a Caretaker Committee to run football activities in the country.
"It's not the first time this (suspension) is happening. It calls for a rethink of what needs to be done. We need to look at the Sports Act to see what are the basic minimums that we must require clubs and associations like Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to have good governance," Karua noted.
The world football governing body gave a condition that if met the ban will be lifted. Kenyan government was asked among other steps, to rescind the decision to disband FKF.
