Kenya's Tennis Star Angella Okutoyi Appeals for Financial Help

Kenyan Tennis sensation Angella Okutoyi has appealed for financial help ahead of the Roland Garros tournament. 

Okutoyi will be taking part in the Roland Garros Junior Championships in Paris, France from May 29 to June 4. 

The tennis star will be at the Karen Country Club for the Tennis Exhibition on April 24.

“Help support Angella and be part of her journey to Rolland Garros by making a voluntary donation through Karen Country Club,” part of the poster read. 

The 18-year-old tennis star made history after she became the first Kenyan girl to win an Australian Open juniors match.

The Kenyan tennis star used the just-concluded Africa Closed Junior Championships to prepare for the Roland Garros Junior Championships. 

Also known as The French Open, the major tennis tournament is held over two weeks at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France. 

The tournament and venue are named after the French captain Roland Garros. 

The French Open is the number one clay court championship in the world and the only Grand Slam tournament currently held on this surface.
