West Ham defender, Kurt Zouma, has been sentenced to 12 months of community service for 180 unpaid hours after pleading guilty to two counts of causing suffering to a vulnerable and protected animal by the Animal Welfare Act.
Zouma has also been banned from owning cats for five years after his two cats were taken under protective custody.
According to the verdict, Kurt will also cater for the Ksh1.3 million court costs.

A viral video posted on Snapchat in February by Zouma's younger brother, Yoan, showed the 27-year-old kicking the cat.
Zouma, 27, admitted two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal by kicking it in the abdomen and slapping it on the head at Thames Magistrates' Court.
The video showed Zouma kicking one of his two cats across his kitchen before throwing a pair of shoes at it and slapping its head.
His brother, Yoan, 24, later sent the video to a woman he had been messaging to go on a date. After her brother's date saw the disturbing video, she shared it online and went viral.
Zouma's brother was handed 140 hours of unpaid community service after admitting to one count of aiding his brother to harm a protected animal.
Hazel Stephen, who was on the prosecution side, said Zouma stated the words "I swear I'm killing it" after the cat allegedly damaged his chair, implying an intention to kill the animal.
West Ham United has confirmed the sentence saying that they fined Zouma the maximum for the offense two days after the footage surfaced.
"Within 48 hours of the footage emerging, we fined Kurt the maximum available to the club," read the Club's statement.
"Every single penny of this money is now with a number of deserving charities, all dedicated to animal welfare."
The French national will serve the sentence even as the next season of the Premier League starts in August.
