
In his first TV interview in more than four years, former Chelsea midfielder, Danny Drinkwater, revealed how he felt during his five seasons at Stamford Bridge.
Drinkwater revealed that Chelsea's boss, Maurizio Sarri, informed him of the intention to sell him within an hour of the transfer window left.
Drinkwater, who was interviewed by Sky Sports, noted that he refused to leave as he could not move away from his son.

The midfielder noted that he was called into the manager's office during the last hour of the transfer window where he was told he was not in the clubs' plan for the season.
He also revealed that he and Sarri did not have a good relationship both off and on the pitch, describing themselves as Chalk and Cheese.
During the interview, Drinkwater noted that he was informed of other clubs from Europe that were interested in acquiring him from Chelsea.
The 32-year-old midfielder opted to stay until January 2019 when he left on loan.
Drinkwater has now been officially released by Chelsea and will be looking for a new home before the current transfer window closes.
The former Chelsea midfielder added that he felt like the five years at Stamford Bridge were a waste of his career.
"I still regret it. However, on the other hand, will I keep kicking myself because I cannot change it?” Drinkwater wondered.
